When generating a report that displays weekly/bi-weekly data for a specified period, the report follows a Monday-to-Sunday week structure. The reporting period is split as follows:
First Week:
The first week in the reporting period begins on the first day of the period.
Data for this week will be displayed up until Sunday of that week. This ensures that all data within the first partial week (if applicable) is captured.
Full Weeks:
Following the first week, each full week is reported from Monday to Sunday.
Each of these full weeks is displayed in the report as a complete weekly period, ensuring consistent data presentation throughout the reporting period.
The last week of the reporting period can either be a full week (Monday to Sunday) or a partial week depending on the date the report is run.
If the report is generated before Sunday, the last week will reflect data up to the date the report is run, ensuring the most current available data is included.
For the previous year comparison, the same methodology is applied to ensure consistency across years. The approach is as follows:
The previous year's data is aligned with the corresponding week of the current year. The first week of the previous year will start on the same weekday and continue to the corresponding Sunday.
Year-to-Date (YTD) Information on Profit and Loss (Actual vs. Prior Year)
YTD data reflects the cumulative figures starting at the beginning of the accounting period up to the end of the reporting period.
